What I thought would be a stressful morning turned out to be a very fun morning. I have never been pleased with my abilities of flower arranging and doubted I would be of any use in making the wedding bouquets. Our instructor at Flowerman however was so helpful that I found myself not only enjoying the process, but being pleased with the results as well. Seasoned flower arranging veterans came along to help us though. Mrs. Williams and Beverly and DiAnn knew how things needed to be done which freed up our instructor to help those of us with less experience. Calleigh was as nervous as I was but found some simpler tasks and appointed herself as photographer.

There is something extra-special about designing and making your own wedding bouquet.  Daniel wanted red roses and Hadley chose stephanotis, which smelled amazing, and studded them with crystals.  She wrapped the steps in ribbon and then an embroidered antique hanky from Grandma Gloria (this is her "something old").  Also included was the charm from the necklace Daniel bought her for their high school graduation.  It reads "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" , appropriate for that occasion and for beginning their life together as well.
